KiKi-J Beauty specifically uses the Black Magic Argan range, which is an express tan allowing clients to wash off the solution in as little as 1 hour. The colour is determined by the client and how long it is left on the skin before showering.

WHAT TO EXPECT
- Your tan will take place in Kiki-J Beauty’s home salon. You will be in a private pop up tent
- Kristy will help you decide on what colour to choose.
- You can tan nude, in underwear, or in disposable underwear.
- You will be guided on how to stand to gain even coverage.
- You will be dried during and at the end by Kristy to avoid creasing and feeling sticky.
- Kristy will advise on what time you need to wash your tan off by

- Our solution does not carry any orange tint. So don’t worry you will not come out looking orange, you will have more of a natural glow.
TANNING DO’s AND DON’T’S
- DO remember to remove all make up and deodorant properly before having a tan. If not properly removed, the tan can discolour.
- DO exfoliate and shave at least 12 hours before your tan as shaving immediately before may cause the tan to develop freckly on shaved areas.
- DO remember to moisturise after every shower post tanning as it will prolong the tan on the skin.
- DO ask for a patch test at least 24 hours before a tan if you have sensitive skin to prevent any severe reactions from occurring after tan.
- DO wear loose fitting, dark clothing to your appointment.
- DO prepare your skin appropriately prior to appointment, excessively dry skin may require regular exfoliating & moisturising in the days leading up to your tan.
- DON’T apply any moisturisers or lotions before getting a spray tan as this can create a barrier on the skin impacting tan adherence.
- DON’T worry if when you first shower your skin looks normal, this solution can take 12-24 hours to fully develop.

Wear loose fitting, dark clothing to your appointment. It’s best to avoid wearing a bra or underwear, which tend to cling to the skin, and can cause blotchy or uneven tanning. But no, you don’t have to be naked when having your spray tan, but wear something that will create as little lines as possible. Disposable undergarments are also available.
Exfoliate and shave at least 12 hours before your tan as shaving immediately before may cause the tan to develop freckly on shaved areas. Prepare your skin appropriately prior to the appointment, excessively dry skin may require regular exfoliating & moisturising in the days leading up to your tan.
Black Magic spray tans last 7 – 10 days. But if you are looking to prolong the life of your tan, chat to Kristy about the Tan Xtend. Remember to moisturise daily or after every shower post tanning as it will prolong the tan on the skin.
Please allow 30 minutes for the appointment which includes approximately 15-20 mins spray time.

Your first shower should be lukewarm and avoid soap. Don’t worry if it feels like all the solution is coming off in the shower – this is normal and just the guide colour washing away. The solution is still there and can take 12-24 hours to fully develop.
If you have a spray tan 2-3 days before your big event, that leaves a few days to let the tan fully develop.
Waxes, facials, manicures and pedicures should all be done prior to your spray tan. Nails done at least two hours before your tan.
It is best to discuss this with Kristy during your appointment as the time will vary depending on the choice of product and how dark you want to be. The time generally varies from 1-4 hours, however, there is also an option which you can sleep in.
